2nd Monkspath Scout Troop is celebrating after winning the Solihull West District Swimming Gala held at Tudor Grange on Saturday 20th November. 2nd Monkspath is one of 9 Groups in Solihull West, and has over 100 members to whom it provides fun and character-building activities on a weekly basis.
Members of the Group use the Tudor Grange Leisure Centre for a variety of activities including swimming and fencing, and believe that the centre performs an important role in promoting a sense of community in Solihull. Scout Leader Harvey Smith meets young people there every week, and says, "Tudor Grange is immensely important for Solihull, and all of us must watch very closely to ensure that it is not replaced with a centre offering lesser facilities".
